2021 USAFL Tournament & National Championships Schedule Release

The USAFL Executive Board is excited to announce that the USAFL will be hosting 6 sub-regional tournaments across the country for summer 2021.

Club input via the USAFL Club Conference in February and recent Regional calls has been critical to shaping the 2021 season. Based on this feedback and the varying circumstances across the country, the USAFL Executive Board has decided to pivot from the normal Regionals format this year to sub-regional tournaments to provide all clubs accessible USAFL tournament football ahead of 2021 Nationals.

USAFL Nationals 2020 Update

Over the last few months, the USAFL has conducted a detailed assessment to determine feasibility of holding Nationals in October. Based on several key factors including the recent surge in infections across the country, operational considerations provided by the Safety Task Force, USAFL member survey feedback, and the inability to ensure the safety of participants and communities, it is with heavy hearts that the Board has made the decision to cancel the 2020 Nationals Tournament.

Four Honor and Glory; Maidens Outlast Field

It’s best to not question greatness.

We can scrutinize, analyze, and predict.  But it’s all about execution, and when push comes to shove, the cream rises to the top.

For the San Francisco Iron Maidens, they took the brunt of everything an incredibly potent Women’s Division 1 field had to give.   There were questions even on Sunday afternoon as to whether the juggernaut would last another year.

And still, they ended up lifting their fourth straight National Championship trophy on Sunday, October 13th at the Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch, Florida.

Make it Five For Austin As Crows Crow Again

At the beginning of this decade, it seemed neigh impossible that anyone would reach the heights that the Denver Bulldogs had during the last one.

Between 2000 and 2011, the Doggies had been to ten D1 Men’s Grand Finals and won eight.  They were the team of the USAFL’s first decade, and the gold standard in the league’s formative years.

Skills Competition Wows Crowd at Nationals

44 teams and nearly a thousand players gathered last weekend at the Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, for the 2019 USAFL National Championships.  Over the course of Saturday and Sunday, eighty games whittled the field down to the six champions, who lifted the crown on Sunday evening.
