USAFL Coaching Accreditation & Resources
USAFL Coaching Accreditation is available through www.Coach.AFL
There are two of the three levels of Coaching Accreditation available to USAFL caoches:
- Foundation Course - open to all coaches, must be renewed each year to be valid
- Level 2 Course - run on an as available, sign up basis facilitated by the AFL
The Foundation Course is FREE to USAFL Coaches via the AFL:
- Foundation course has 3 components and takes 90 minutes total
- Register for CoachAFL (or renew if registered in previous years)
- Welcome to CoachAFL 2024
- Set up your Coaching Profile
- Foundation course (6 steps includes concussion module, Safeguarding Children module)
- Vilification & Discrimination
Level 2 AFL Coach Accreditation Course
- Facilitated by the AFL by Application only to CA lead start of each year
- 3 key components;
- Classroom theory (4 x ~2hr facilitated virtual sessions)
- Practical assessments with feedback (by accredited coaching instructor/mentor)
- Training, Game day observations
- Self assessments and coaching workbook (with mentor feedback)

USAFL Coaching Expectations
All club head coaches to complete/renew Foundation Coach Course and submit the accreditation certificate to your RVP or CA Portfolio lead: dave.bryant@USAFL.com
