Revolution Coach

Gary Hill, coach of the American Revolution, the United States National Australian Football team, added some extra excitement to Round 2 of the AZAFL when he made the trip to Phoenix to put on a coaching clinic for the leagues aspiring coaches. Thanks to excellent negotiation from John Pops Meier, AZAFL Commissioner, and great organization by Sam Yabbie Conrad, Steve Mom Hoza, and Revolution team member Jeff Fingers Purcell, the clinic paired with Round 2 to make for an excellent weekend of footy development in the Valley of the Sun.

Missing San Diego Banner

G'day Mates!

I just thought I'd drop a line to let you know I'm doing just fine.
I hear there's been a bit of a fuss about my whereabouts!
Not to worry, I just decided to take a bit of a holiday after the grueling
2001 SD Lions campaign to the National Championship.
As you can see from the photo, I'm in bonny England right now, seeing a few
of the sights.

There's a few other places I'd like to visit before I come home to sunny
San
Diego, but rest assured mates, I'll be there to start the defense of our
title with you!

2001 USAFL President's Speech

With the recent events in the US, many people are taking pause for reflection and to appreciate what amazing times we live, both good and bad. As I look back at our first five years existence, the accomplishments that have been achieved and continue to be achieved still amaze me. What started out as three teams in the Midwest has blossomed into a nationwide competition that will reach the forty-team milestone next year.

USAFL and Burley

Its hard to believe that the USAFL, via President Richard Mann and Kristy McGrath of Burley-Sekem first made contact just over twelve months ago. Shortly after that first contact, the two parties entered into a sponsorship agreement, which has seen Burley Sekem produce some excellent, top quality items for the USAFL, including:

  • 2000 and 2001 Senior National Team (The American Revolution) Uniforms
  • 2000 USAFL Junior National Representative team uniforms
  • Uniquely imprinted Burley Footballs for 2000 Revolution match against Canada
