USAFL and Burley
Its hard to believe that the USAFL, via President Richard Mann and Kristy McGrath of Burley-Sekem first made contact just over twelve months ago. Shortly after that first contact, the two parties entered into a sponsorship agreement, which has seen Burley Sekem produce some excellent, top quality items for the USAFL, including:
- 2000 and 2001 Senior National Team (The American Revolution) Uniforms
- 2000 USAFL Junior National Representative team uniforms
- Uniquely imprinted Burley Footballs for 2000 Revolution match against Canada
- Uniquely imprinted Burley Footballs for the 2000 USAFL National Tournament Championships
- Uniquely imprinted Burley Footballs for 2001 Atlantic Alliance Cup, a five nation tournament held in London in October.
- League wide discount program, providing USAFL clubs with the ability to produce footballs with their own team logo printed directly onto the football
- Production of the first unique set USAFL jumpers for the Chicago Swans
- Production of 1200 junior balls which were used by USAFLs advertising agency and included in a National Advertising program which won several awards
- Production of USAFL junior membership kits, including uniquely imprinted footballs
- Production of unique USAFL rugby tops which recognize those who have gone the extra mile For the Good of the Game
The production of first class footballs, team uniforms and apparel has been a perfect fit to our fast developing League stated USAFL President, Richard Mann.
"We entered the US Australian Rules market with high expectations, though those have been far surpassed through the excellent support of the USAFL administration and clubs. We look forward to a mutually rewarding relationship in the years to come" stated Kristy McGrath of Burley Sekem, officially known as Football Specialists Australia.
It is most heartening to see Americans taking up the game of Australian Rules so enthusiastically, because enthusiasm and commitment at a Club level are an absolute prerequisite for a successful League at National level added Managing Director, David McGrath. David went on to say We look forward to continuing our support for US Footy, and hope that the game continues to grow and attract new participants and audiences. We have enjoyed the experience to date, and in the process made some good friends in the US.
TURNOVER TOPS $50,000 !
The financial turnover by the USAFL and its member clubs reached the $50,000 mark before the end of the first twelve months of the initial agreement between the two parties. This target seemed absolutely unrealistic just twelve months ago. In return for this achievement Burley will be providing an additional 50 Premier League Footballs. This is in addition to the nearly $10,000 worth of product Burley Sekem are donating as part of the basic agreement.
Burley Sekem continue to foster this relationship with excellent production standards and customer support and service. Following the success of the relationship with the USAFL, Burley Sekem is adding countries regularly and will be the official ball supplier for the upcoming Atlantic Alliance Cup in London, being an active supporter of all five competing nations.
A significant progression occurred earlier this year when the Chicago Swans unveiled their new team uniforms and jumpers. These combined the skylines of Chicago and Sydney, home of AFL team the Sydney Swans, their sister club. The combination of the two cities characteristics, jumper designs and having Burley-Sekem bring this all together to produce an excellent product will pave the way for other USAFL clubs to do likewise.
The USAFL would like to formally thank Burley Sekem for its tremendous support during its formative years in addition to providing excellent support for all USAFL clubs, members and their supporters. These products will also be more widely available very shortly with the opening of usfootystore.com
