2000/2001 International Games

The USAFL is aiming to send our National team to Europe for a Tournament in
England in mid 2001. Following this, we will be sending our National Team
to the International Cup in Melbourne in 2002.

As a heads up, eligible players must be US born and bred citizens. It's very important to us as a League to show case to the rest of the world the awesome players we have here and to prove we are truly an American League (and not just a bunch of ex pat Aussies having a kick of the footy which is an all too common perception of Inetrnaional Leagues).

I
think many people would have thought! Let's keep up the great work.

The CAFL and USAFL would like to formally announce that there has been a change of venue for the 2000 National Tournament. It will still be held in Los Angeles on the 14th & 15th October but is no longer at Van Nuys.

Because we were forced to change the venue we have also had to change hotels. Please do not make any more bookings with Airtel and contact me as soon as possible to obtain information on how to cancel your existing reservation if you have one.

Following are the new Venue and Hotel details:

Nationals gearing up

G'day everyone,
Just to let everyone know it's all full steam ahead for the
2000 nationals. Will Boston win their third successive Title?, will Santa Cruz break their
drought?, will someone else upset the top two teams from 98 and 99? Who knows?,
it will definitely be an interesting weekend of footy.

From my point of view, and the entire USAFL Board, we eagerly await the
Nationals as it's the culmination for us for a year of hard work.We will also
be hosting Dr. Ross Smith, Head of Game Development for the AFL.

usfooty.com email

Need an email address?

We are constantly trying to come up with ways to support the clubs. One
additional way we can do this is through the development of club email
addresses at usfooty.com.

While this may not be of value to any of the more established "A" clubs, it
should be handy for the developing clubs or clubs without their own domain.
This way they can have a more professional email address.

USA Junior Team victory

Things here are great! We have had a slow start that resulted in two lost
games that were played only a few hrs. After we arrived. Our first lost game
was to Denmark and was close most of the match. Our kids played hard by in the
last 5 minutes we just ran out of steam and ended the game with a score of
Denmark 7-3-45 and the USA 2-7-19. In the second game we also played tough and
hung in there till the last 5 minutes and lost to a good act team with A.C.T (Australian Capital Territory)
5-4-34 and the USA 2-4-16.
