MAAFL Results

The Nashville Kangaroos played their best football of the season in defeating the St. Louis Blues in St. Louis on Saturday September 16th. The MAAFL Championship was on the line and a St. Louis win would give Chicago the title. The St. Louis Blues had gone from a slow start to the season to be ranked number eight in the country and all hinged on this final game. The first quarter saw an even tussle with the Blues missing some key scoring opportunities but the second quarter saw the Roos wide open forward line and key running players setup the victory slamming home 5 unanswered goals. The Kangaroos ran out eventual winners 12-8-80 to St. Louis 2-10-22.

This completes the inaugural season of the Mid American Australian Football League. Thanks to all League teams that made great efforts in developing regional football in the Mid West and South East. Also, a big thanks to St. Louis for competing against teams in the league in 2000. The League will be announcing the MVP of the MAAFL season and will have final players stats posted shortly. Best of luck to all MAAFL teams competing in the upcoming USAFL National Championship in Los Angeles.
