American Revolution

Press release - American Revolution to attend Atlantic Alliance Cup, London, October 4-11, 2001

The US Australian football national team, the "American Revolution", will be one of five nations (US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Denmark) competing in the inaugural Atlantic Alliance Cup in London, in October 2001. To date, the Revolution has an undefeated record in internationals against Canada, and this tournament will see the team tested against new rivals in the leadup to the inaugural International Cup in Melbourne in August 2002.

Champions Cup

The Cincinnati Dockers will host the June 16th 2001 United States Australian Football League Champions Cup. All former United States Australian Football League National Tournament Champions will be competing in the round robin tournament. This years participants include the Cincinnati Dockers (champions in 1997), Boston Demons (1998 & 1999) and Denver Bulldogs (2000).

USFooty Posters

What do a mink farmer, animal rights activist, the angel, the devil, Spartacus wannabes and fans of a popular television show featuring stranded castaways have in common?

Theyre the kinds of diverse people drawn to USfooty the United States Australian Football League (USAFL).

The USAFLs agency, Nelson Schmidt, invoked these disparate characters in four award-winning posters that highlight the sports broad appeal. The posters each won silver ADDY awards of excellence at the Milwaukee Ad Clubs annual advertising contest in February at Marquette University, Milwaukee.

Denver Bulldogs

The Denver Bulldogs took to the oval for the first time since winning the 2000 National Championships for the fifth International Series game between the Bulldogs, and the Gaels at the ANZAC Day tournament. In the International Rules games, laws from both Australian Rules Football and Gaelic Football codes are integrated.

Burley Footballs

Victorian icon Sherrin is under siege from a Western Australian interloper intent on torpedoing the balls premier position in the football world.

Outbid by Sherrin for exclusive AFL rights, the maker of the Burley football is now making huge inroads in the bush and suburbs.

Burley believes it can erode Sherrins position in Victoria and eventually take over as the AFLs official ball.

At elite level, Western Bulldogs stars Paul Hudson and Tony Liberatore have given the ball the thumbs up.

Administrators Conference

The Club Administrators conference held over Easter was a huge success with everyone learning a lot. Here's some of the feeback:
