Australian Rules Football is one of the hardest hitting sports in the world. Be on hand to experience the action of the First Annual Down Under Fest Footy All-Stars Cup (aka The D.U.F.F.A. Cup). Games will begin early on Saturday, May 26 and finishing on Sunday, Monday, May 27, followed by live music, food and beer at the Down Under Fest Pub.
2011 was a big year for Footy in the USA with a record number of both players and teams participating during the year. The Denver Bulldogs took out both Division I and the Women's divisions at this year's National Championships. Additionally the USA Revolution and Freedom players stood out, collecting many of this year's tournament honors.
The Denver Bulldogs continued their dominance of Aussie Rules Football at the USAFL National Championships with a superb win over the Calgary Kangaroos on Saturday in Texas, scores being 3.2.20 to 0.5.5. The Bulldogs went through their three pool games on Saturday and early Sunday pretty much unchallenged with tough but comprehensive wins over San Diego, Baltimore DC and Seattle before moving onto the final in front of a crowd of 200 passionate footy followers and players.
