USAFL Umpires Association Announces IC2020 Scholarship Winners

The USAFL Umpire Association is pleased to announce the International Cup 2020 Scholarship Umpires: Ryan Minmier and Shawn Farber. They will be going to the Suncoast in Queensland, Australia to represent the USAFL and the USAFLUA in IC2020 from July 25 through the grand finals on August 8.

Four AFL Umpires Return to 2019 Nationals

The USAFL Umpires Association will once again be hosting a pre-Nationals umpiring clinic from 1-5pm on Friday, October 11th at the Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch in Sarasota-Bradenton, Florida.

The clinic is free and open to all current umpires as well as those interested in learning.

The USAFL and USAFLUA are once again excited to welcome four AFL field umpires – Shane McInerney, Ray Chamberlain, Chris Donlon, and Hayden Gavine -- who will be helping conduct the clinic as well as observing the tournament throughout the weekend.

AFL Umpires To Take Part in Nationals Umpire Clinic

USAFL Umpires Make Their Mark on IC17

The International Cup is at its halfway point here in Melbourne, with 18 men’s teams and 8 women’s teams having taken to the pitch at Royal Park, schools, and community grounds across the country.

The USAFL Umpires Association is holding clinics at each of the three regional tournaments as well as Nationals.  All new and veteran umpires are encouraged to take the courses.

From Melbourne to Texas: Riddell Umpires take to Nationals

Over forty teams will be making the trip to Austin for Nationals next week, making the long journey to compete.  One other team will be there, but for a whole different reason.

Melbourne-based Riddell Umpires, the officiating association of the Riddell District Football League, will be participating in this year's National Championships, becoming the first team of umpires from Australia to do so.   Founded in 1983, Riddell Umpires have become one of the largest and most innovative umpiring associations in Australia.

USAFL Umpires Get Chance on Big Stage

Two American based umpires, Arizona's Nicole Fasula and Dallas's Ross McLaren, were selected as recipients of International Cup umpiring scholarships.  Both Nicole and Ross took some time to describe their experiences at last month's event.
