2002 International Cup

The Revolution defeated Great Britain in a play off for 5th place after they finished 3rd in their pool with a record of 3 wins and 2 losses. Charley Ellis of the Denver Bulldogs and Chad Martin of the Phoenix Scorpions were selected in the “Team of the Series”.

In the final for the International Cup Ireland beat Papua New Guinea 7.9.51 to 2.7.19.

KC Power's Mark Scott

(KANSAS CITY) - The Kansas City Powers Mark Scott, known as Scotty to most of his mates, made history this past weekend by playing his 100th game of USAFL. He also captains the 2002 Power side.

The tall, lanky high flying Scotty has been the backbone of the Kansas City Power since joining the club back in 1996. At that time, the fledgling club was a mere six months old, so to gain a talented player from Victoria was quite a feather in the clubs hat.

The American Revolution, the National Australian Football team of the
United States, is proud to announce the call-up of two alternates:

Kyle Strenski (Cincinnati Dockers)

Jon Loring (LeHigh Valley Crocodiles)

These players have been called up to replace three players that have
been
forced to withdraw from the team due to injuries; Jeremy Kraus
(Cincinnati
Dockers), and Dan Green (Orange County Bombers).

In its short history, the Magpies have grown from a simple dream by a few football-mad Australians and Americans in 1998, to a club with a player roster of 40, and social club of 700 people.
