Big John Cracks the Ton
Round 6 of GGAFL sees Big John Ironmonger play his 100th game of footy on US soil. A life member of the the league, John has helped promote the game more so than anybody else and has shown his amazing administrative skills extend far beyond hosting the end of year BBQ.

John and the Hornets will take on the Knights this Saturday following the curtain-raiser between the Mavs and Pirates. Drinks afterward, so come down and help us say congratulations to a legend of a man.

Footy, Footy, Footy………it must be God’s country

On a recent trip back to Australia I finally made it out to Perth. Three previous attempts hadn’t worked out as plane companies went broke (for you Aussies, remember Compass and the even shorter lived Southern Airlines) but my WA mates have always told me that it’s God’s country. Well, if it’s true, there’s no doubt he resides in Fremantle. What a beautiful place.

East West wrap-up

The East West game is an oportunity for players throughout the country to show their talents to our National Coach and his assistant coaches as they consider the team to send to the International Cup in Melbourne in 2008.

Here is a report from Joshua Goodstein, one of the organisers of the game.
