IC2011 Set for Divisions and Women's Comp

2009 49th Parallel Cup

The AFL is planning to host the next International Cup in August 2011 in Melbourne, Sydney and probably the Gold Coast or Brisbane. For the first time in Cup history the competing nations will be split into divisions. The AFL has told potential competitors that "IC11 will be run across multiple divisions - to be determined by the final number of entrants". That suggests that if there are enough teams there could even be three separate divisions.

World's Largest Aussie Rules Tournament Returns to Louisville!

Revolution Rally from Halftime Deficit to Defeat Northwind

Humber College’s Lakeshore Campus, situated right on the banks of Lake Ontario near Toronto, provided the picturesque setting for the 2010 49th Parallel Cup between the American Revolution and the Canadian Northwind. A Canadian victory in Vancouver in 2007 and with both teams preparing for the International Cup, in Australia in August of 2011, this promised to be a great game of Australian Football.

Sacramento Co-Ed Footy League

After 20 years of waiting, Jeff Soesbe can finally play. "There's jumping, running, catching, kicking, and charging. It's the best part of sports all rolled into one," said the 44-year-old software engineer. Flipping through television channels in the early 1990s, Soesbe stumbled across a game of Australian-rules football, or as it's colloquially known, "footy."
