Apr 19, 2013 USA Freedom Prepare for Canada and Beyond The USA Freedom will be holding their annual training camp from May 31 - June 2 this year in the San Francisco bay area. All women interested in trying out for the team are encouraged to attend. The coaching staff will be selecting a senior and as well as a development squad to take to Canada for the 2013 Parallel Cup on August 3. Apr 16, 2013 Prospects Impress at Final Day of Testing In a test unfamiliar to college basketballers, athletes excelled with impressive times in the 3km test. It was the final test of the 2013 AFL International Combine in LA today. David Grzesiak from Wisconsin excelled with an elite time of 10mins 34sec, while ruck prospects 204cm Taylor Broekhuis (11min 24sec), 200cm Nathan Healy (11min 28sec) and 208cm Olatunji Kosile (11min 38sec) showed very impressive endurance in the unfamiliar and grueling test. Apr 16, 2013 Records Broken at USA AFL International Combine USA athletes attending the AFL International Combine in Los Angeles have broken records today. Three athletes, David Grzesiak from the University of Wisconsin, Matt Sauey from the University of North Florida, and Cliff Ederine from the University of Eastern Washington, broke the standing vertical jump record of 85cm with 86cm leaps to become the best ever preformers in 18 years of testing. Apr 14, 2013 AFL US Combine Underway The athletes attending this year’s AFL US Combine have traveled from all across the US. This year's pool of players have come from basketball backgrounds primarily and also includes USAFL player David Grzesiak of the Chicago Swans. Day one of the combine included a warm welcome from AFL Talent Manager Kevin Sheehan and an address by Sydney Swans Premiership player Tadhg Kennelly, who is regarded as one of the most success international recruits in AFL history. Apr 14, 2013 Revolution Raring to Tackle the Northwind The Revolution squad that will take on the Canadian Northwind in the 49th Parallel Cup in Edmonton, Alberta, on August 3 has been announced and it is the best squad to be named in his time, according to Head Coach Matt Bishop. "The selection process was the hardest we have completed since 2009 with interest in the program at an all time high and as a result several recent Revolution players have not been selected in this squad." Stay for the camaraderie!” This is the message the USAFL will be sending when it launches a new advertising campaign on Fox Soccer PLUS this weekend. The ad is aimed at recruiting new players to our great sport all across the USA. The USAFL, along with digital media experts Row27, have developed a thirty second advertisement which will air for the first time this weekend during Round 1 of the 2013 AFL Season. Mar 7, 2013 A Revolution Descends Upon L.A. 52 aspiring Australian Football players are traveling to Los Angeles this weekend to participate in a training camp for the USA Revolution, the men's national Australian Football team. The players, representing 20 different clubs affiliated with the United States Australian Football League, are hoping to show the Revolution coaching staff what they have to offer the program and to secure a position to represent their country. Feb 12, 2013 Watch the AFL NAB Cup Live and FREE! This week the AFL launched their new online viewing service, AFL TV. This is a subscription based service, not available in Australia or New Zealand, offering live streaming and on demand replays of Australian Football League matches. The service will be offered for free during the NAB Cup and a regular season pass will set you back around $120 for all games during the year, however there are other subscription choices available.
