Freedom Make History

Lindsey Kastanek kicked the first goal and the Freedom never looked back in their impressive International Cup debut victory over the Australian Indigenous Multicultural team.  Playing in rainy conditions the US women played an agressive style and displayed great teamwork to run out winners by the score of 10.12 (72) to 0.0 (0).

Captain Judith Stein, Tracy Corwin and Eileen Geoghegan took control in the midfield, providing plenty of scoring opportunities for their forwards.  The Freedom skills and structure were the difference against a young, inexperienced Australian side.

The match started with the Freedom women singing the national anthem loud and proud, America can be proud to know these women represented the US with class.

The Freedom won't have long to savor their victory as they have to turn it around and take on the Papua New Guinea Flames tomorrow night.
