Saturday Morning Footy Begins June 8

The Saturday Morning Footy junior development programs begins on June 8 at Bluemont Park, Arlington, VA.

Boys and girls aged 5 to 15 are welcome to participate in the fun and free activities to learn the skills and rules of the great game of Australian football. The under 9s participate in clinics based on Australian Football League’s Auskick program - the highly successful Australian youth sporting program.

Indy Giants Form Partnership with GWS

The Indy Giants are proud to announce a partnership with the AFL's GWS Giants. The Indy Giants, co-founded by Dr. Sam Pope and Matt Jagger, are planting the seed as the newest USAFL club and are preparing for their inaugural season. Says Dr. Pope, “I am amazed by the support of the football community, both here in the US and Australia. Being centrally located in the midwest, Indianapolis is surrounded by many USAFL clubs within a few hours drive. It’s a no-brainer and we hope to host many tournaments in the years-to-come.”

Stateside Footy TV Enters it's 3rd Year

A Day at the Footy Like Never Before!

As an expat there is nothing quite like a day at the footy. A chance to watch our great game, get your teeth into a pie and just soak up the embodiment of Australiana. Ah, it is good to be home – even if just for a short while. That is what I was looking forward to when I planned a trip to the AAMI Stadium in Adelaide to see Port host the Greater Western Sydney (GWS) Giants. Well, this day ended up being like none other at the footy.

USA Freedom Prepare for Canada and Beyond

The USA Freedom will be holding their annual training camp from May 31 - June 2 this year in the San Francisco bay area. All women interested in trying out for the team are encouraged to attend. The coaching staff will be selecting a senior and as well as a development squad to take to Canada for the 2013 Parallel Cup on August 3.

Women are traveling from all over the US for the camp and the coaching staff have prepared a weekend packed with footy and team building.
