Sep 7, 2007 Atlanta celebrate 10 years of footyThe USAFL is celebrating ten years of footy this year and has requested all clubs submit a "team of the decade" in celebration. The Atlanta Kookaburras were first brought together by Mike Powers in 1998 and since that time have played over 100 games of Australian Rules Football in Atlanta and around the country in many different cities. The club has a proud and distinguished history already with players representing the USA in Australia tours as well as playing host to the USAFL National Championships in October of 2004. This allows all the players, especially those new to the game, to get some match practice. At the start of the season the club selected two teams that play each other every couple of weekends.
