Mar 13, 2012 AFL to be televised on FOX SOCCER Plus in 2012 The AFL announced today that FOX SOCCER Plus will be the 2012 telecast partner in the USA. The three-year deal will include two matches per week being televised live as well as a weekly one-hour highlights show. The first match to be shown will be the derby clash between Greater Western Sydney (GWS) Giants and the Sydney Swans on March 23 (televised in the US on March 25 4:20amET/3:20amCT/2:20amMT/1:20amPT) followed on March 30 by Hawthorn and Collingwood (televised in the US on March 29 at 4:50amET/3:50amCT/2:50amMT/1:50amPT). Mar 12, 2012 Player Registration for the 2012 Season is Open! The USAFL Player Registration System is open for the 2012 season! All players participating in a USAFL team's activities must register with the USAFL. Players must be registered in order to earn points towards their Nationals eligibility. Players must earn a minimum of 3 points to be eligible to participate at Nationals for their club. Players earn 1 point per USAFL game played and .5 point per metro game played. Read more » |

This year's National Tournament will be held in Mason, Ohio, the same location of the 2009 Nationals. The USAFL are seeking applications for two positions beginning June 2012. The Board position of Treasurer will be vacated in June 2012. Additionally a replacement for the contracted position of Accountant, both for the period of June 2012 until October 2012. The USAFL Board would like to have both positions filled by May 30, 2012.
Milwaukee's Heather O'Keeffe is in Queensland on an exchange program this semester and recently had an opportunity to see and learn more about how the girls competition is growing in the region. Heather will be looking for a club to play with while managing her studies. The following article, courtesy of AFL Queensland, highlights Heather's visit to a Youth Girls AFL Gala event.
Earlier this week Clint Milner, President of the Nashville Kangaroos met with Cameron Vale, Chief Operating Officer of the North Melbourne Football Club and they established a more formal association between the two clubs.
The Nashville Kangaroos are seeking an Australian Rules Football Coach to lead the club in 2012.Pages
