It was a game that matched up a veteran Eagle team that has had the wood on the Tigers in recent years, but as it turned out, history changed as much as the weather did during the game. "The Boston Demons is a team that competes in the United States Australian Football Association, playing against teams from other parts of the country. On July 17, the Demons opened the season, hosting the Nashville Kangaroos at Ipswich River Park in North Reading."
The Wall Street Journal recently published an article on the New York Magpies. "Say hello to the New York Magpies, one of about 40 Australian Rules football teams in the country, playing under the auspices of the U.S.A.F.L. and on a field in Yonkers. Or out on Staten Island. Or in Hoboken."
