For the last two years, the USA Revolution and USA Freedom national teams have been waiting for an opportunity at AFL International Cup redemption.
After a long wait, they will now know when and where they’ll be going in order to get it.
The Australian Football League announced early Monday morning US time that the 2020 AFL International Cup will be played at the newly renovated Maroochydore Sporting Complex on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland from July 25 through August 8.

The USAFL executive board is excited to announce the schedule and venues for the 2020 USAFL Regional Championship Series.
Now in its sixth season, the Regional Championship Series has become one of the most anticipated parts of the USAFL calendar. In addition to regional championship glory, the results of these tournaments will strongly impact seedings for the 2020 USAFL National Championships.
They’ll also be a key warm up for the men and women who will represent the USA at next summer’s AFL International Cup championships in Australia.

The echoes of the 2019 USAFL season are still ringing in our ears, and this year brought us some memorable matchups across the calendar, not to mention the country.
From the travelling summer road show that is the Regional Championships Series onto the National Championships in Sarasota, Florida, this season had some exciting matchups, huge wins, and nail-biting finishes.
I should know, I saw most of them.

It’s best to not question greatness.
We can scrutinize, analyze, and predict. But it’s all about execution, and when push comes to shove, the cream rises to the top.
For the San Francisco Iron Maidens, they took the brunt of everything an incredibly potent Women’s Division 1 field had to give. There were questions even on Sunday afternoon as to whether the juggernaut would last another year.
And still, they ended up lifting their fourth straight National Championship trophy on Sunday, October 13th at the Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch, Florida.

At the beginning of this decade, it seemed neigh impossible that anyone would reach the heights that the Denver Bulldogs had during the last one.
Between 2000 and 2011, the Doggies had been to ten D1 Men’s Grand Finals and won eight. They were the team of the USAFL’s first decade, and the gold standard in the league’s formative years.
