The sun shone down on the magnificent ThunderBird Stadium in Vancouver. The grass was as green and smooth as any seen in North America. The stands held the biggest crowd yet to see a USFooty match – with representatives from both countries women’s and junior teams waiting eagerly for the game to commence.

It was an historic day in Vancouver, British Columbia, where the first Womens International between the USA and Canada took place.
The USA Freedom were the first to take the field splendid in their new uniforms emblazoned with Americas most famous woman, the Statue of Liberty. Soon after the Canadians joined them on the field to a huge applause from the parochial crowd.

Check out the Sportzfan Radio interview with USAFL President Rich Mann and Seattle Grizzlies Coach Andrew Donlen. Rich and Andrew were interviewed by Mark Seymour from Sportzfan Radio in Australia. The radio show aired Sunday 20 July and talked about the upcoming National Championships.
