Every country in the world has it's one centerpiece sporting event. Its one climax where all eyeballs are on a strip of grass or hardwood or ice or whatever, between the two best teams dueling for supremacy. Here in the US we have a few, but the Super Bowl commands the most attention with its pomp and pathos and the like.

Time stops for no one, and rarely does the USAFL season.
The 2024 AFL TransAtlantic Cup has dominated the attention of the international Aussie Rules world for the past month. But back home, the march towards Nationals carried on with sixteen men’s games and two women’s games.
There were slight effects thereof upon the August edition of the Odin Mortgage Polls. The Women’s top 10 remained exactly the same as July, while the Men’s top 20 saw slight but significant movement up and down the table.

There have been 25 years of USA Revolution football. Many unique moments of glory across many dozens of players in locations all over the world.
But never have they played themselves into a tournament final.
Archrival Canada, despite their best efforts, were no match for the Revos in the 2024 AFL Transatlantic Cup semifinal. Thanks to a 65-11 victory, Kyle Strenski’s team will face off against Ireland on Sunday at 1:45pm ET/10:45am PT in their first ever tournament Grand Final.

Victory and defeat are fickle. They can be decided by wide gulfs or minute margins.
The USA Freedom will be playing for a championship thanks to the knuckles of Amanda Boe.
It wasn’t a knockout punch, but rather a timely jab of the football over the line in the dying seconds of Team USA’s semifinal match against Canada. The 14-13 win was the first for the Freedom over the Northern Lights in twelve years, and punched their ticket into the 2024 AFL TransAtlantic Cup Grand Final.

Records are made to be broken. So are droughts.
In six matches, the Irish Warriors have downed the USA Revolution four times. The last American victory was in the third place game IC05, which gave the Revos their best ever finish.
After a scrappy game that was not for the faint of heart, the U.S. came from behind in a feverish fourth quarter to pip Ireland 53-51 in one of the best games in program history. The win left them as the best Americas side at the 2024 AFL TransAtlantic Cup, and will roll them into a semifinal against Canada on Friday.
