2019 Regionals Head to Capitals

State capitals are centers of government, commerce, and law.  Some are bustling metropolises; others are quaint towns augmented by stately architecture.

This summer, three capital cities will be turned into centers of Aussie Rules football, as the 2019 USAFL Regional Championships Series brings exciting, day-long carnivals featuring the best of the game in this country.

2019 USAFL Nationals Logo Unveiled

When one thinks of Florida, one thinks of the exotic tropical elements that makes it a world famous destination.

The sun, the surf, the beach, the flora and fauna that distinguishes it from everywhere else on the planet.

For one weekend in October, Australian Rules Football will be a part of that landscape.  And this year’s Nationals logo captures it in its full glory.

The 2019 USAFL Nationals logo, featuring flamingos and palm trees as goal posts, with the sun and a seagull at its center, was designed by Dan Milbourne of Bunyip Collective.

Aloha Aussie Rules - Hawai'i Eagles Join USAFL

Dallas McCulloch arrived in Honolulu with a bit of an itch to scratch.

He had played Aussie Rules for the Austin Crows before heading to Australia, where he spent four months playing for the North Brunswick Bulls of the VAFA.  Well, sort of.

Freedom Adds Four to Coaching Staff

2019 is a pivotal year for the USA Freedom women’s national team program, as coach Christina Licata builds her team and staff not just for next year’s International Cup, but for the 2021 Trans-Atlantic Cup, and beyond.

While the brick and mortar of the program is the playing group, no building can stand without a foundation, and so the coaching staff that Licata assembles around her will play a pivotal role in the program’s success.

2018 USAFL Honor Roll

With a hard fought 2018 campaign put to stern, USAFL clubs around the country took the chance to reflect, celebrate and recognize those who made their clubs go on and off the field.  From November all the way through mid-January, each team held awards nights, some wrapped around their club's AGM with an eye to the future.

Familial Culture Paces Outlaws in Opening Season

They call Arizona “the Valley of the Sun,” most likely because some days, it feels like you’re living on its surface.

It’s known for its hot, dry weather, its desert scenery, and for its booming and ever-expanding metropolis in Phoenix.

For the past two decades, however, it has been a literal and figurative hotbed of Aussie Rules football.   From the Phoenix Scorpions and Tuscon Javelinas giving way to what is now the Arizona Hawks, the game has flourished in the nation’s 48th state.

USA, Great Britain To Contest Trans-Atlantic Trophy

Two nations, linked together by history, will now come together to do battle on the oval on a triennial basis.

The USAFL and AFL England are pleased to announce the Trans-Atlantic Trophy, in which the USA Revolution and USA Freedom will play the Great Britain Bulldogs and Great Britain Swans every three years beginning in 2021.

Great Britain will host the inaugural matches, which are tentatively scheduled for August 21, 2021, with the return games to be played in the United States in 2024.
