Women's 2014 International Cup Draw Released

The AFL has released the women's draw for next month's International Cup. There will be a total of seven women's teams competing for the title this year.  The USAFL will be sending two teams, the Freedom and Liberty. The Freedom will take on Canada Northern Lights in the opening round followed by Canada Midnight Suns, Tonga and Fiji. The Liberty will play Canada Northern Lights in the second round then Ireland, Fiji and Canada Midnight Suns.

At the conclusion of round play teams will be ranked 1 - 7 based on win/loss record and percentage. The Grand Final will be played by the two highest ranked teams. The remaining teams will play for 3rd place (3 vs 4) and 5th place (5 vs 6) with team 7 eliminated. The women's Grand Final will be played prior to the men's Grand Final at Punt Road Oval, Richmond Football Club.
