USA Set to Defend Titles

On August 3 the USA Revolution and USA Freedom teams head to Canada to defend the title of 49th Parallel Cup Champions. With two mens and two womens teams heading across the border, the stage is being set for a big day of footy.

The event will be held at Kaskitayo Park, just south of downtown Edmonton, Alberta. The first game will being at 10:00am with the USA Liberty (women's development squad) taking on the Northern Lights Development Squad followed by the USA Revolution Development Squad and Canada North Wind Development Squad. The main events of the day are the USA Freedom vs. Canada Northern Lights and USA Revolution vs. Canada North Wind at 2pm and 4pm respectively.

"I am looking forward to the challenge of playing Canada on their home turf, especially with the 2014 AFL International Cup only one year away," said USA Revolution Coach Matt Bishop. "Both teams will want to put forward their best possible effort and as a result the games should be a cracker!"
