GGAFL seeks coach


The Golden Gate Australian Football League (GGAFL) is seeking a coach for our Division 1 representative team, the Golden Gate Roos. We are seeking an applicant who has the enthusiasm, skills and ability to take us further into the top echelon of U.S. Football, and put into place processes and procedures to ensure the well being of our great game in the Bay Area.

Key USAFL Advisor Visits N. Carolina Tigers

Raleigh, North Carolina – Tuesday October 23, 2006: This week the North Carolina Tigers Australian Football Club has been fortunate to host Mr. Tony Fairhead, the Director of the USAFL’s Australian Advisory Board, on his first visit to North Carolina. North Carolina has been one of the most successful football clubs in developing a very active College program, and with many of the student players enjoying Metro competition with their school team, and then playing with the Tigers in the EAFL.

Congratulations to all Clubs who participated at this year's Nationals. Once again, we had a fantastic venue, perfect weather and a well run and skilfully umpired tournament.

Free USFooty Kids Clinic in DC

The National Champions, Baltimore Washington Eagles, are hosting a free USFooty Kids Clinic for boys and girls aged 6 to 12.  The clinic will take place at 1pm on Saturday October 28 prior to the Grand Final of the Baltimore Washington Metro League. 


The Clinic and Grand Final will be held at the Capitol Polo Fields in Poolesville, MD.

2006 Nationals Results

SUNDAY REPORT:
All results are now in our Results section except for the Final's official scores.


San Diego took out the Division 1 title over Denver with a score of 33 to 12.  Baltimore Washington took out the Division 2 title over Minnesota with a score of 69 to 12.  The hosts, Las Vegas/OC took out Division 3 with a score of 47 to 31 over Baton Rouge.  Atlanta took home their second straight womens title over the Pacific Coast Highwayers.

Countdown to Nationals!


The Administrator's Conference is underway this morning with representatives from each club meeting to discuss their thoughts for the future direction of the USAFL and how the League can best benefit their clubs, players and supporters.


The atmosphere in this wild town is electric and we've had a great team of volunteers here in Vegas working to ensure a great Nationals.


Things are looking great.
