Ex-Atlanta Kookaburra TOP 10 on American Idol:

A fond farewell

Today is the last day in an important three year stretch of the USAFL's short history.  Today is the last day of Julie Upton's tenure as the League's Office Manager.

Invitation from Coolamon Rovers

The Coolamon Rovers invite players from the US looking for a unique Australian experience to consider playing with their club this year.  The Rovers are part of the Riverina Football League which is in New South Wales and one of the stronger leagues outside the metropolitan area.

Accomodation would not be a problem and work would probably depend on what skills the players had but they do their best to find some type of employment.

Updated Nationals Seeding system for 2008:

Many clubs have expressed concern in the process to develop the seedings for the Nationals. Issues raised included:

- clubs would develop their schedules to avoid difficult travel that may result in a loss to a lower ranked team
- it appeared that previous Nationals performance did not count to a given years seeding
- seedings were announced late and no clubs understood their likely division.

Thank you!

Aussie Rules Football tries to build its membership

Often mistaken for rugby, the Australian rules football team is building its following at N.C. State.

For those who frequent Miller Fields, it is a familiar sight -- a group of men have marked off a large section of the field and are playing an unfamiliar game with an oval-shaped ball. They are the N.C. State rugby team.
