Three years of work, three rounds of games, and the two American representative sides at the 2017 AFL International Cup have one game each to determine whether or not they’ll play in the Grand Final on the game’s biggest stages, the MCG and Etihad Stadium.

The International Cup is at its halfway point here in Melbourne, with 18 men’s teams and 8 women’s teams having taken to the pitch at Royal Park, schools, and community grounds across the country.

It went without saying that the two games on this weekend for the two American IC17 clubs would go a long way to determining their chances at playing at the large AFL stadia that house the affections of footy fans in this city.
