Countdown to 2014 USAFL Nationals

The 2014 USAFL National Championships will hit Dublin, Ohio in 30 days and clubs across the country are intently making their final preparations. Will this be the year the Calgary Kangaroos finally break through and capture the Division 1 title or will the Austin Crows make it two in a row? Will the Columbus Jackaroos defend their home turf with another Division 2 crown? Will anyone be able to put a stop to the Denver Bulldogs dynasty in the women's division? These questions will be answered on the field, below are details for other events taking place during the weekend.

2014 West Regional Championship

The 2014 West Regional Championship tournament is set for Saturday, September 13. All the action will take place at Harbor Sport Center, 1221 N Figueroa Place, Wilmington CA 90744 with first bounce scheduled for 9 AM. Participating men's teams will be Los Angeles Dragons, San Diego Lions, Seattle Grizzlies, Golden Gate Roos and Orange County Bombers. A women's west region team made up of players from Sacramento, San Francisco and Denver will take on the St Albans Spurs an Australian women's team on tour in the US. An umpire's clinic will be held on the Friday night, September 12 at 7pm at the Holiday Inn in Torrance.

US Freedom vs Canada Midnight Suns

The first match of USA vs Canada day at the 2014 AFL International Cup features the US Freedom vs Canada Midnight Suns.  Coming off a stinging defeat to Canada's senior squad, the Freedom are looking to find their form.  World Footy News is on hand to provide live audio streaming of the match.

US Revolution vs Canada Northwind
