Ryan Wins Re-Election, 2015 Board Set

DUBLIN, Ohio (Oct 10) -- Denis Ryan will head the USAFL as its president in 2015 after being re-elected at the league’s Annual General Meeting in Dublin, Ohio.  The former Baltimore-Washington Eagle ran unopposed, as did three others to keep their board seats as well.  Three further positions were won by new members.

2015 will be Ryan’s second term in office, looking to continue a vision of growth that includes getting the game into colleges and strengthening and standardizing the Metro game system ahead.  He also stressed a great number of other initiatives at the Administrative Conference on Friday morning, including establishment of a USAFL Alumni program, an emphasis on recruiting, and a change to the USAFL calendar.

Also running unopposed were Eastern regional VP Michael Sheppard (Boston), treasurer Karen Muiter (New York), and secretary Drea Casillas (new York)

The other positions will be occupied by newcomers to the board.  VP-Central Region was won by Tulsa’s Dustin Brasel, who has been instrumental in the startup and success of the Buffaloes.  Portland president Andrew Daniel was chosen as WP-Western Region in the day’s only vote.  Finally, member-at-large was won by Des Moines’ Tyler Kamerman.

Congratulations to everyone who was elected, and best of luck in continuing the push the club into the future.
