Join the Magpies Women's Campaign to Tackle Violence

Punch-a-thon

The New York Magpies are joining the Center for Anti-Violence Education (CAE) in Brooklyn, New York to raise awareness about violence and build stronger communities through our participation in the 2012 Punch-a-thon. On June 3, 2012, the Lady Pies will punch 1,000 punches representing confidence and empowerment for all survivors of violence.

As a women’s team in a largely male-dominated sport, the Magpies constantly work to empower women through comradary and community involvement. The Lady Pies believe that women can and will achieve whatever it is they put their minds to. However, many challenges exist which continue to hinder the success of women all over the world, especially violence.

With your assistance, CAE will continue to break the cycles of violence in NYC by providing free self-defense and healing programs for youth and survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence.

Help the Magpies tackle violence by donating to our Punch-a-Thon team!

Donations are tax-deductible and all proceeds go to support the valuable work that CAE is offering to the women of Brooklyn and beyond.
