Sunday January 25 from 4pm, TipsyCake will host an afternoon tasting of traditional Australian savoury and sweet offerings, paired with Australian wines. Special guest will be Australian chef Jon-Antony, who will also be on hand to sign copies of his latest recipe book. Cost is $28 per person, and reservations are essential. Tuesday January 27, The Chopping Block will feature the "Awesome Aussie Cooking" class. Learn from resident Australian chef Jon-Antony as he prepares some of his favourite recipes using local and Australian produce. Cost is $75 per person, and bookings are essential. Michigan

Our Michigan-based Aussies are celebrating Australia Day this year on 2 separate occasions at Cranberries Cafe in Goodrich, MI. From 7.30pm on Friday January 23 you are invited to attend a five-course Australian Gourmet Wine Dinner, total cost $39.95. On Saturday January 24 the bar will host its Up Over Aussie Pub Night. Live music, Australian beers & wines, as well as plenty of prizes to be won. See the attached invitation for details of both events.

Minnesota

The Australian New Zealand American Association of Minnesota (ANZAA) is hosting a dinner dance to celebrate Australia Day/Waitangi Day on Saturday February 7, 2009. The event will be held in the Banquet Room of the Outback Steakhouse in Bloomington, MN. All event details are provided in the attachment below.

Wisconsin

On Saturday January 24 from 6pm onwards, the McAllisters will be hosting a party at their home in Pewaukee, WI. Beer, wine and soft drinks will be provided but it would be helpful if you could bring a plate to share, and a small donation ($5) to help cover catering costs.
