Louisville, Kentucky, October 5, 2010 - The United States Australian Football League will bring its 2010 National Tournament to Louisville, Kentucky over the weekend of October 9-10. The popular event is the biggest Australian Football tournament anywhere in the world, and attracts more than 1,000 players, officials and coaching staff, with a total of 32 men’s teams spread across four divisions, as well as 6 women’s teams representing over a dozen cities across the USA and Canada.

USAFL Nationals Week 2010!

The USAFL Nationals is the largest Australian Football tournament anywhere in the world, and attracts more than 1,000 players, officials and coaching staff, with a total of 32 men’s teams spread across four divisions, as well as 6 women’s teams representing over a dozen cities across the USA and Canada. This year the tournament will also features juniors exhibition clinics and games, Under 23 and women’s development seminars, umpires clinics, a national administrators conference and the USAFL’s Annual General Meeting.

We are pleased to note that a record number of teams are playing at Nationals this year. Unfortunately, this makes our task even more difficult, and will inevitably lead to some disappointment. As always, this has been a difficult task, especially given the complexity inherent in a national competition (e.g., trying to compare teams that never played each other during the season, or did not play many or any games during the season).

Reminder: USAFL Player Registration Dues 2010

From August 1 - October 6: $75
On site Registration at Nationals (October 7 – 11): $100

Note: From October 12 through to approximately 2/15/11, the player fee is $50.00.

At the Board Retreat, the 2011 fees will be finalized and then the player fee amount will be posted here, and circulated to all Clubs.

Lights! Camera! Take TWO!

The American Aussie Rules television program 'Stateside Footy' is looking for footage from YOUR AFL Grand Final Replay Parties. I had some great response to the first call for the 'Virtual American Grand Final Party'. I am looking to see if we can get more cities in on this to increase the overall breadth of the project. As was the case before, it can be camcorder footage, Flip footage, webcam footage, even cell phone footage.

Saints and Pies to return to the MCG next Saturday for AFL Grand Final re-match!

THE 2010 AFL premiership remains undecided after Collingwood and St Kilda fought out only the third grand final draw in AFL/VFL history.

The sides will return next Saturday afternoon for a grand final replay after a behind to Lenny Hayes tied the scores 29 minutes into the final quarter in front of 100,016 fans at the MCG. Read the full story at AFL.com.au

Attention American Footy Fans! The American Aussie Rules television program 'Stateside Footy' is looking for footage from YOUR AFL Grand Final Parties. I am looking to get as much footage as I can to put together a 'Virtual American Grand Final Party'. I am asking for volunteers across the country to shoot some video footage at their respective Grand Final parties.
