Its GAME DAY, USA!

AFL QUEBEC MONTREAL TOURNAMENT – MONTREAL, QC, CANADA
MEN: Quebec Saints (0-1) vs Boston Demons (2-0)
WOMEN: Montreal Angels (1-1), New York Magpies (0-1), Boston Lady Demons (0-0), High Park Demons (OAFL)

The annual AFL Quebec Women’s tournament brings together the best from Le Belle Province against the defensive power Magpies, emerging Boston Lady Demons, and the western invaders from High Park, Toronto.  The Angels have taken out each of the last two tournaments, while the Magpies try to repeat 2015’s championship effort.  New York fell to Montreal by a single point in an ANZAC Day Weekend tug-of-war.

Meanwhile the Saints, who fell to New York on ANZAC weekend, host the Boston Demons in the PJ Devine Cup, named for the veteran defender who played for both clubs during his long footy career (and who now currently wears the blue with red yoke.)  Quebec won at home last year; the Dees’ two wins have both come over the new Maine Cats club.

SOUTH CENTRAL AFLX TOURNAMENT – BATON ROUGE, LA
Baton Rouge Tigers, Houston Lonestars (A/B), Austin Crows, Dallas Magpies

AFLX hits the Bayou as the hometown Tigers join three other clubs in a tournament with five teams competing.  Austin will be familiar with the format, sweeping the Rob Dollar Tournament in Phoenix last month to claim top prize.

The high flying Chicago Swans host their rival from the North Star State and an all-comers combo from the Midwest in a three-way battle.  The Swans beat the Freeze and Freeze reserves in Des Moines last weekend, and if recent battles are any indication, their meeting in the nightcap should be a tight one.  On the women’s side, the Freeze come off their win in Des Moines facing improving Columbus.

OKLAHOMA FC VS DES MOINES – TULSA, OK
Oklahoma Footy Club (0-3) vs Des Moines Roosters (1-3)

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AFL ROUND 4 – SAN DIEGO, CA
Orange County Bombers (2-0) vs Beachside (LA) Sharks (0-2)
San Diego Lions (2-0) vs South Bay (LA) Outlaws (2-1)
