Export Report: Klatt Earns Second Nod

Katie Klatt (Sacramento) – Melbourne Uni (VFLW)

Klatt made her second appearance in her team’s best as the Mugars fell to the unbeaten Northern Territory Thunder by 69 points on the road.  Klatt racked up 11 possessions and took five marks in the loss.  They return home this weekend as they host the Geelong Cats at Main Oval (12:30am EDT Sunday, June 3).  The first place Cats knocked off Uni by 39 points at GMHBA during Round 1, during a game where Klatt got her first best-on-ground honors.  Klatt will start at fullback for the fourth straight game.  The match will be broadcast on RSN Carnival Radio and Women’s Australian Football Radio.

Jess Blecher (Portland) – Keilor FC (Northern FNL)

Blecher didn’t factor in the scoring, but her forward play helped the Keilor Blues hold off Bendigo by just seven points, in a game that was broadcast live.  The Blues, now 6-1, lead Bendigo by a half game in the NFNL ladder, and will host fifth place Diamond Creek at Joe Brown reserve (2:30am EDT Saturday, June 2).

Tyler Ames (Denver) – Montrose FC (Eastern FL Division 1 Reserves)

Ames and the Demons’ reserves suffered a 101 point loss to Blackburn at Morton Park.  Former Austin Crow Tim Christou kicked Montrose’s only two goals of the contest.  The Dees host Norwood this weekend: (10:05pm EDT Friday, June 1).

Gabriel Martin del Campo (Los Angeles) – Black Rock FC (Southern FL Division 3)

Spurred by Martin del Campo, Black Rock thumped Hallam at home by 90 points.  They travel to Hampton Park this weekend (12:05am EDT Saturday, June 2).  The Jets currently sit in fifth on the eight team ladder with a 3-3 record.

Buddy Spohn (Orange County) & Brian Traut (Minnesota Freeze) – Mordailloc (Southern FL Division 1)

Spohn and the Bloodhounds seniors are locked in a five-way tie at the top of the SFL Div 1 ladder after a 28-point win over St. Pauls.  Traut and the reserves sit in fourth place in their ladder.  The Mordy sides host Cheltenham this weekend. (12:05am and 2:05am EDT Saturday, June 2). 

David Restrepo (Houston Lonestars) – Melbourne Uni Blacks (VAFA Premier Thirds)

Restrepo’s Blacks came home sixteen point winners at St. Kevin’s.  The Blacks face Old Scotch FC at home at Crawford Oval this weekend (7:40pm EDT Friday, June 1). The Houston Lonestar and Revolution forward has four goals through six games so far.

Sam Murphy (Los Angeles Dragons) – West Perth (WAFL) / Whitford FC (WAAFL)

Murphy played his second game with the WAAFL’s Whitford Warriors last weekend and was part of the winning side, defeating Thornlie by four points.  They’ll play at West Coast AFC this weekend at City Beach Oval (7:40pm EDT Saturday, June 2).

Brian Repetto (Denver Bulldogs) – Old Geelong (VAFA Thirds Section 3)

Repetto did not play in OGFC’s match last weekend, a win against Old Camberwell Grammarians.  His team is back in action this weekend against St. Bernards (9:40pm EDT Friday, June 1).  Repetto has three goals through five games this season.
