Des Moines Roosters Seeking Head Coach

The Des Moines Roosters are looking for a suitable individual with an affinity for coaching and a passion to develop an up and coming team in the Midwest.

Overview

Volunteer role: This is an unpaid position. For someone moving to Central IA specifically for this position, the Roosters plan to take care of living arrangements and will assist in finding work.

Schedule: The coach will be expected to lead practice twice per week as well as attend all scheduled USAFL and metro/rec league matches.

Coaching experience: Ideally, we would like someone with previous experience at a professional or semi-pro level, however, a strong knowledge of the game, experience playing at a higher level of football, and the desire to lead a team are the most important factors we are seeking.

Game analysis: an understanding of modern playing strategies is required, along with knowledge of how team performance can be measured.

Other Responsibilities

Game plan:  develop and communicate a suitable game plan to the players and assist them to implement it to the best of their ability. .

Player development: Probably the most important piece of the puzzle – duties here will range from teaching the game to someone who’s never picked up a football to helping prepare our top players as the train to become a part of the US National team.

Any interested applicants should email Tyler Kamerman (dsmfooty@gmail.com) by Saturday, February 1, 2014 and provide a brief outline of your coaching experience and what/if any assistance you would need in getting to Des Moines, IA.  Any additional questions may be directed to Tyler as well.
