Freedom & Liberty Named

The USA Freedom coaching staff is pleased to announce the teams for the 2013 49th Parallel Cup. The USA Freedom and newly named USA Liberty (women’s development squad) will take on Canada in next weekend’s tournament in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

“We are truly thrilled to be able to field two full teams once again”, said Head Coach Leigh Barnes, “while it is unfortunate that a number of players missed out on being picked to either squad, it does go to show just how much the program has grown in the last few years”.

“I think the coaching staff will have their work cut out for them next year” reported Team Manager Amy Bishop, “with such a large pool of talent, places on the 2014 International Cup squad will be highly sought after and contended”.

Next weekend’s game will give the players the opportunity to put their best boot forward and hopefully impress the coaching staff in preparation for team selection in 2014.
