The lush green athletic field at Auraria Campus in Downtown Denver was the site for the 2011 USAFL Mile High Challenge.
On Saturday June 25, 2011 over 100 men and women players from around the USAFL converged at the picturesque college campus on a warm sunny Colorado day. Over 200 sun screened spectators lined the boundary line including former Sydney Swans Captain and current Swans Hall of Famer, AFL Ambassador, Brett Kirk. Brett was in Denver as part of his “Captain Kirks Odyssey” world tour.

Regional teleconferences for all club Presidents will be held next week, see below for schedule. The teleconference is an opportunity to hear from President, Rich Mann and your Region VP on important topics for the remainder of the season. If you can not make the call for your region, you are welcome to attend one of the other two calls or you may have another club rep attend the call on your behalf. Only one club rep per club please. On Saturday, June 25th, the Portland Steelheads hosted the Stumptown Throwdown, a tournament featuring the Steelheads, Golden Gate Roos, and Seattle Grizzlies facing each other in a battle for West Coast supremacy. Between the beautiful weather and the great field at Northgate Park, the stage was set for a great day of footy with some fiercely contested matches between the three clubs. Each team faced each other once in games of 20 minute halves, the same format as the USAFL Nationals Tournament.
