New Faces of the USAFL

Wednesday, October 27, 2010 – The United States Australian Football League (USAFL) is pleased to welcome its 2011 Executive Board and Program Coordinators. During the 2010 Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Louisville, Kentucky four new board members were voted in.

“I’d really like to thank the outgoing board members for all their hard work and dedication to the league,” said Rich Mann, USAFL President, “particularly long time board member Matt Jagger who has been on the board since 2006 as Secretary and will continue to contribute through his role as Team Manager with the USA Revolution squad”.

Outgoing board members include Matt Jagger – Secretary 2006-2010, Leigh Barnes – Vice President West 2008-2010, Brad Rinklin – Vice President East 2010, Alistair MacGlashan– Member-At-Large 2010.

Rich Mann remains on as President and Adam Coleman Treasurer with Jim Martin moving from VP Central to the role of Secretary.
New Executive Board Members include Andy Vanica – Vice President West, Chet Ridenour – Vice President Central and Mike Sheppard – Vice President East, Jeff Persson – Member-At-Large.

The Program Coordinators (formerly Portfolio Members) have had minor changes. Denis Ryan and Chris Adams will continue to work together on Footy Kids and Junior Development (up to 21 years of age). Matt Bishop will take the role of Coaching Director, Elite Talent Pathways Coordinator, head up the Rules Committee and continue in his role as USA Revolution Head Coach.

Wayne Kraska was awarded USAFL Life Membership and has elected to step down from coaching the USA Freedom Women’s National Team due to other commitments. Wayne was a huge contributor to the growth and development of Women’s Football in the U.S., coaching the Atlanta Lady Kookaburras and the USA Freedom. He has had much success on and off the field and we wish him all the best with his future endeavors on the farm.
