Amy Bishop
Amy has been involved with footy in the US since 2005 as both a player and club committee member. She is the original founder of the Sacramento Australian Football Club (SAFC), formed in 2009.
In it's second year the SAFC club had more than 80 people playing in its inaugural recreational football league. She has also a member of the USA Freedom women's National team since 2010.
Prior to moving to Sacramento, California, Amy and her husband Matt lived in Washington, DC where she was involved with the Baltimore-Washington Eagles as a committee member, secretary and player. She played her first ever game of footy at the USAFL Nationals in 2005 and has played at every Nationals since.
A Queenslander, growing up just outside of Brisbane. She first became involved with footy in Sydney with the Manly-Warringah Wolves AFC during the 4 years she lived there prior to moving to the US.
