UMPIRING AT THE OKAY CORRAL
In the Summer heat of 2004, it struck the boys at the Tucson Javelinas, that this might just be about the perfect time to have an umpires clinic in Arizona. Well, that was fine for the locals but it was a most interesting time for the Umpire’s Coach Brian Green, and his son Sam who slipped away from the melting snow in New York City to be confronted with the wilting cactus and howling coyote.

The scene was Las Vegas, the tournament- The Wild West Shootout, the temperature- a sizzling 90 degrees, so why not hold an umpire clinic as well?
In the backdrop of the pulsating Las Vegas strip, budding, new AFL accrediting umpires took their first steps to Level 1 accreditation.
The new accreditation course, Level 1, Tier A, was the reason that 10 of us crowded into this hotel room at Terrible’s Hotel and Casino in Nevada.

May 13th the Denver Bulldogs, 4 Time National USAFL Champions, will host Colorado’s first in-door Australian Rules Football demo game on an Arena Football field when they play at halftime between the Colorado Crush and the Nashville Kats.
The demo will be a quick game to show the fans some of the aspects of the game. Should be a fast paced hard-hitting affair.
