Board Update - Letter from Seb Aguiari
Dear USAFL Members,
This letter is to inform the USAFL Clubs and Members that Steve Grandfield has resigned as USAFL President due to professional opportunities outside of football. I'd like to express my appreciation and gratitude to Steve for his dedicated time and contributions to the USAFL Executive Board over the past 3 years. Per the USAFL constitution, if the President role is vacated, the longest serving Vice President fills the role until the next AGM. As the Vice President of the West Region since 2015 I would be next in line to serve as President.
The Board met on December 20, 2017 and there was no objection to the appointment. I have accepted the appointment and it is my honor and privilege.
To that effect, Heather Serpico has been nominated to Vice-President West Region and has accepted that position. Member-at-large position will be filled at a later date.
We are committed to pursue the intent expressed at the 2017 AGM in bringing the clubs into the decision making process and provide absolute transparency about the USAFL activities. To that effect, we have already begun forming specific committees being composed of interested club members.
We look forward to working more closely with the clubs and the Australian Advisory Board to foster and develop Australian Rules Football in the United States, to organize and promote fair and competitive games and tournaments.
I want to take this opportunity to wish you and your families the most joyful and safe holidays and a happy new year.
Seb Aguiari
United States Australian Football League - President
