East West Game Update

The USAFL Board regrets to advise that the East West game scheduled for July 1 in Sarasota Florida has been cancelled. Although we had more than 50 players register for the game, there were only 25 players who paid their $100 refundable deposit by the cut off date, which was required to confirm acceptance of registration. With only 25 players confirmed players it is not possible to hold a match deserving of the prestige of the East West game.
 
While the Florida Redbacks are disappointed that the game has been cancelled, they are behind our approach and agree that the League must make prudent decisions when it comes to financing games and events. They and the board  believe it is in the best interests of USFooty to make the tough decisions now rather than later.

We look forward to the game being played in 2007.
