Danny Harrison's Journal continues

With just one week left before mid-semester break, things got a kind of hectic. My roommates and friends were preparing for their big trips to Fiji, New Zealand, and the Gold Coast, professors were cramming in the last bit of lectures and tutorials, and I was trying to get to a good stopping point in my internship project. It felt like the first week I arrived in Sydney, well the craziness and all.

As far as football goes, this week wasn’t anything special. Due to Easter Sunday, there was a bye week for all the Sydney AFL clubs. Training during the week was the typical hard running and drills.  The coaches pulled out the tackle pads for some tackling drills. After the huge loses to Sydney University, the coaches wanted all the players to focus on playing better defense. This included using the pads as a mode to release our anger in a positive manner so we could do so during future matches.

Not much else exciting happened this week; it was just full of preparations for mid-semester break which includes sight-seeing around parts of Sydney and then a few days in Melbourne. Beyond that, I just relaxed over the weekend.
