Meet the USAFL Executive Board

Robert Oliver – President
Robert has been Vice President East for the past three years before taking on the role of President. He has been involved as Senior Coach with the New York Magpies for the last 3 seasons. Robert is an Education Consultant with a leading Educational Consulting Company, Australian and United States Services in Education, working in schools in NYC. He specializes in Mathematics Education.
Robert lives in New York and Melbourne with his wife Kerryn and his two children, Hannah (18) and Lachlan (16).


Jim Martin–Vice President, Central Region
Jim is a shareholder in the commercial litigation department at Polsinelli Shalton Welte Suelthaus PC, a 230-attorney law firm with offices in St. Louis, Kansas City, Washington, D.C., and Chicago. 
Jim is also the President and Coach of the St. Louis Blues A.R.F.C., a club with a history of developing some of the best American players in the USAFL, including 5 national team members in 2005.  As a player, Jim has played in over 80 games, and was an alternate for the 2002 Australia Cup squad.
Jim lives in St. Louis, Missouri with his wife Jessica. 


Tom Ellis- Vice President, Western Region
Tom is a member of the Denver Bulldogs and Ex-USA Revolution Captain.  He has played in both International Cup Tournaments in Melbourne.  He is the number one Sales Representative in Colorado for Alphagraphics. 
Tom grew up in Texas but now lives in Denver, Colorado with his wife Shannon and his two children, Nolan (9) and Sterlyng (7). 


Greg Narleski- Vice President, Eastern Region
Greg is the Director of Student Activities & Orientation at Dean College in Franklin, Massachusetts. Greg has been involved with Footy since 1999 with the Boston Demons. He co-authored, “The Story of US Footy” with Doc Cheffers, which looks at the early history of the league. He has been involved with the Revolution as a player and team operations manager.


Andrew Bednall - Treasurer
Andrew lives in Brookfield Wisconsin, where he is COO of the law firm Weiss Berzowski Brady LLP. He has been USAFL Treasurer since 02/2005.  Andrew is originally from Adelaide, South Australia and first came to the US on an AFS Student Exchange Program in 1972.
He is the father of Cassie and Zander and is a mad keen Crows supporter.


David Payne - Secretary
David lives in Fort Irwin, California where he is on active duty in US Army. David started the Fort Irwin Mojave Greens as an outlet for single soldiers to get away from the isolated confines of the Mojave.  What started out as four guys kicking the ball around has now grown into sponsored sport with an unlimited potential to grow in the Army.
David is married to Tamara and they have two children Emily and Ethan


Randall Upton – Member-at-Large
Randall's professional background is as a lawyer, US diplomat and business consultant with a heavy concentration in sport. He has spent a total of some 24 years living and working in Australia where he was involved at the national level in the sports of baseball, softball, field hockey, basketball and equestrian. He currently works for his alma mater, Beloit College - a liberal arts Division III college in Beloit Wisconsin, in the field of donor relations.
In his capacity as Member-at-Large Randall’s role is to take a position on issues affecting the League from a national perspective, not from any special portfolio or regional orientation.
