Position:   Advance Online Editor/Producer
Location:  New York, NY
Salary:       Negotiable depending on candidate background and experience.
Hours:       Full-time position or 4 days per week. (Negotiable).

Overview:
Advance Australian Professionals in America seeks an outstanding Content Editor Producer to work with us in the development of our online presence.  The candidate will report to the CEO and be accountable for:
*Producing and editing web content including sections on careers and mobility, networking and communities, news, sports and entertainment and other content of interest to global Australians
*Structuring and sourcing content including establishing content partnerships
*Producing e-mail bulletins and other push content
*Managing and executing online promotions and recruitment drives
*Sourcing and editing articles from other writers and Australians abroad
The ideal candidate will have had extensive experience in online publishing environments including as an editor accountable for a content section.  The candidate should be comfortable with HTML, have a good understanding and fluency in web design principles, visual flow and structure of websites.  Day-to-day activities include writing, editing, web-design.
Selection Criteria:
Strength of track record in content production, especially online
Editorial style and flair (portfolio and work samples required)
Comfort level and capacity to work in a multi-disciplinary and geographically disparate team
Management skills
Experience editing digital photos and organizing streaming media content considered a plus
Relevance of prior work experience and enviroments
