Beating out other hopeful nominees, Timothy clinched the scholarship with an excellent display at this years Nationals in Kansas City. His attack on the ball and strong marking belied the fact the Timothy only started playing Australian Football earlier this year. Timothy is a Junior, majoring in Acting and he maintains a 3.79 GPA. While at Macquarie, Timothy plans to complete courses for his liberal arts requirement.

While working a summer job at the Philadelphia Phillies baseball games, Timothy first saw our great game when the Philadelphia Crows were invited down onto the field for a promotion. After picking up a flyer and attending a practice, Timothy was hooked.

Timothy will be heading down to Sydney next March for a full semester to study at Macquarie University and to play with the Macquarie University Kookaburras in the Sydney Football Association. Macquarie University is very excited about this scholarship and is looking forward to hosting Timothy. Macquarie is located in the suburbs of Sydney, with around 25,000 students including 5,000 international students. The university has one of the most productive research programs in the country and an internationally recognized business school. In recent years, the Macquarie University Kookaburras have been the most successful club in the SFA. Their head coach, David Beauchamp, is excited about continuing his relationship with USFooty and taking on the challenge of teaching Timothy this great game. Timothy is also hopeful of making the Revolution Under 23 side that will be competing in the ARAFURA Games in Darwin in mid-May.

The USAFL would like to wish Timothy all the best in both his collegiate and football education while in Sydney and look forward to him being a great ambassador for USFooty.

The USAFL would like to thank Macquarie University for the generous donation, and looks forward to a great relationship between the USAFL, Macquarie University and the Kookaburras.
