CAFL Grand Final
The San Diego Lions will face the Santa Cruz 'Roos on Saturday, July 8, 2000 for the 2000 championship of the California Australian Football League. The game, a rematch of the 1999 Grand Final, will take place at 5:00 p.m. at the Big League Dreams Sports Park in Mira Loma California.
The 2000 Grand Final promises to be a tight affair, much like the 1999 championship game in which the Lions defeated the 'Roos 6-8 (44) to 6-6 (42) on UCSD's Rimac Field.
The 'Roos come into the Grand Final having steamrolled through the regular season undefeated. The Lions, however, have won 4 of their last five games, and since two of the Roos' three losses over the last two years have been to the Lions, the game promises to be a tight affair.
