Denver's Ellis Takes the Reigns of USA Revolution
He's been a champion and an ambassador at the national level. Now, Tom Ellis will lead his nation on the road to International Cup 2017.
The USAFL is pleased to announce that Ellis has been named the new coach of the USA Revolution, the US Men’s National team. He brings with him a great deal of experience as a player for club and country, as well as a Level 1 certified coach.
Ellis has logged over 150 matches with the Denver Bulldogs, and was a key member of a club that has won a best-ever eight Division I National Championships. Three of those titles came with him at the helm, as he guided the Doggies to victory in 2007, 2009, and 2011. He also coached the West All-Stars at three USAFL All-Star games from 2004-06, winning two of them.
On the national level, Ellis was a member of the Revos in 2006, and was the coach for the Americans against the Australian All-Stars at the “G’Day LA Test” held on the campus of UCLA.
Tom will work with interim head coach Dan Sarbacker as he transitions into his role as coach. He looks lo lead the Revos into this next International Cup cycle, which begins with the first national training camp in Nashville on June 7th, followed by the 49th Parallel Cup on August 1st.
Congratulations, Tom, and best of luck in your new role!
