Seeking USAFL Footage
The USAFL Board recently decided to commission the creation of two promotional videos to be used to promote the League. The videos will be design to introduce viewers to the multitude of reasons why we all play this great game. The USAFL hopes to portray as many teams throughout the league as possible and accurately reflect the genuine excitement of the sport and thrilling passion for the game shared throughout the USAFL community.
The Board has decided to partner with Row27, a Minnesota based company, who provide motion graphic solutions to a large number of professional and amateur athletic teams, leagues, and programs.
The first, shorter video will be roughly 30 seconds in length and will provide a quick overview of what the sport is like and where in the country it is played. This short video will show highlights of the sport, what makes it fun to play, and why someone would want to participate in it. This video will also be utilized on Fox Soccer PLUS and will air twice per game during the 2013 AFL Premership Season.
The second video will be roughly two minutes in length and will provide a more thorough explanation of what the great sport of Australian Rules Football is all about here in the US. Both videos will be available to USAFL clubs for promotional use in their local area.
To ensure the footage contains a good representtion of our clubs, the leauge would like to invite members of the USAFL community to submit footage they have gathered for this project. Videos should include action shots from games and/or trainings, as well as other appropriate moments you find integral to the atmosphere of the sport here in the US.
Deadline
Time is of the essence for this project, particularly for the 30 second advertisement as it will need to be completed prior to the start of the AFL Season, footage for this video is due Monday, February 25.
If you have any footage already that you would like to submit, please send it in as soon as possible. The aim of the two minute video will be to incorproate footage from as many teams as possible around the country, therefore we aim to collect footage from clubs throughout the 2013 season. This will provide clubs a better opportunity to collect footage with the specific intent of highlighting what this great sport if all about here in the US.
If you or someone you know would be interested in submitting some footage for this project or if you have additional questions about the project, please contact USAFL Vice President Central, Andrew Werner.
