Quilts for bushfire survivors
A quilt is a wonderful thing - it can hold you, keep you warm, carry thoughts of love, cover you against the outside world; you can hide under it, play hide and seek within it BUT you can also hold it up and say to the world - look what I have received today - look at all the love and care that has gone into it - look at what strangers have done for me and all the others just like me - look at what they are saying to me ..... WE CARE!”
A group of people from the mid-west are making quilts for survivors of the bushfire tragedy in Victoria. We’re looking for sewers, quilters and helpers (no experience necessary!) to help us. If you are able to help us get the quilts to Australia we’d love to hear from you too! Please contact Julie Upton – 272 745-9469, julie_upton@charter.net to talk more!
